7 Bar is the brainchild of a group of local businessmen who believe Upper Hutt deserves something special. With attention to detail and a passion for their community they’ve created a venue locals can be proud of. “We want people to take ownership of it, buy into the concept and help create a place where everyone can come and have a good time.”
7 Bar has a special meaning…
The number ”7″ is lucky in many cultures and the owners of Seven Bar have infused this positivity into every aspect of the project.
Photos of inspirational sporting figures like cyclist Lance Armstrong, who won the Tour de France cycle race seven times, and noted All Black Michael Jones, who wore the number seven, adorn the walls next to impressive prints of iconic seven-themed movies like the Magnificent Seven, the Seven Year Itch and the thriller Seven.
Light fittings intricately detailed with the number seven hang over the dual sided bar and if you look closely you’ll spot seven patterns in a constellation of pin-prick lights.
Located on King Street, the Seven Bar is a completely new fit-out which boasts state-of-the-art technology, modern contemporary colours and the latest fixtures and fittings. Classic 60s, 70s and 80s music can be zoned into different areas and the bar has been purposely designed to be user-friendly.
7 Bar offers something for everyone.
If you feel like having a few cosy drinks with friends why not pick a comfy seat in the intimate space out front where you can watch the world go by from expansive concertina windows or gather around an open fire in cooler weather.
When you’re in the mood to connect with the main bar simply fold back the dividers which separate the two spaces and you’re ready to join the action.
7 Bar is also the only bar in Upper Hutt that has Stella Artois on tap which reflects its commitment to quality.
